16th KCIK-ICTQT Symposium and “Quantum Horizons” Conference – Exceptional Events in the World of Quantum Science and Technology
From May 7 to May 10, 2025, the XVI KCIK-ICTQT Symposium will take place in the Tri-City, bringing together members of the National Quantum Information Centre (KCIK) network and leading international experts in quantum information and quantum technologies collaborating with the ICTQT. The event is organised by the National Quantum Information Centre (KCIK) and the International Centre for Theory of Quantum Technologies (ICTQT) at the University of Gdańsk.
Additionally, on May 7, 2025, in Gdańsk, the National Science Centre (NCN), as the coordinator of the European QuantERA program, will host the “Quantum Horizons” conference under Poland’s EU Presidency. Both events are unique on a global scale, as they will be held in a city of remarkable contemporary historical events and pioneering research on quantum entanglement. They also coincide with a significant moment – the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, proclaimed by the United Nations to mark the centenary of quantum mechanics.
The cooperation between the organizers – NCN, KCIK and ICTQT UG – has enabled the integration of these two events. On May 7, 2025, a scientific poster session in the evening and a banquet at the European Solidarity Centre will mark the conclusion of the “Quantum Horizons” conference while inaugurating the XVI KCIK-ICTQT Symposium.
